Classroom Mindfulness

Now more than ever, our children need the skills to navigate increasingly complex inner and outer experiences.

Mindfulness in Education from Pre-K/Early Years to Grade 12

The world has shared a global trauma, showing us the key importance of cultivating inner wellbeing

It is critical that our next generations be able to navigate change with flexibility and compassion. While we cannot predict the future, we know conclusively that young people with higher levels of emotional intelligence become more successful and adaptive adults. Our children have a greater calling: to understand themselves deeply, learn how to regulate their own emotional states, become master communicators and negotiators, know how to create safe spaces for themselves and others, and be activists in gratitude of planet Earth.

Mindfulness for children comes in all shapes and forms. It goes beyond the portrait of a child sitting still and silent with eyes closed. It is a deep investigation in our sensory experiences, connection with our bodies, awareness of our thoughts and feelings, and so much more. There are many ways that Mindfulness and Social-Emotional Learning overlap, but there are key developmental stages to each.

Mind-Heart Teaching is one of the only organizations to offer a full model of scientifically-researched, developmentally appropriate activities for children ages 3-18.

You will be guided through a complete walk-through of how mindfulness and social-emotional learning is best aligned at each grade level, according to the milestones of the developing human mind. With a background in Educational Psychology and based on the collective works of contemporary researcher, you will gain access to the simple and exclusively copyrighted Mind-Heart Teaching's Developmental Mindfulness model.
